The Good Vibes Hackathon is a student-organized event that introduces participants to vibe coding. By using generative AI to help you code, you can focus on ideation, creativity, and problem-solving.
Yes! Prizes will be awarded for the best projects (official criteria will be revealed soon). Additionally, all participants will be eligible to collect a free website domain name provided by our sponsor. Beyond these awards, you'll also gain valuable connections with fellow participants, mentors, and industry professionals.
The hackathon is open to students of all skill levels and backgrounds (though mostly High School or University students). Whether you have never written a line of code or you're already experienced, this is a place for you to learn and grow.
No. Thanks to vibe coding, beginners can jump straight in with AI-assisted tools while advanced coders can learn to use them more effectively to accelerate their projects.
The event will last 4 days and take place at an academic institute in Dubai. Dates and schedule details will be provided on our website (on the Timeline section). For more information, reach out to us!
You can register solo or as a team. If you don't have a team but wish to work with others, we can connect you with peers who may be interested. Make sure to indicate that you need team members when completing the registration form.
Teams can be as big as 6 members.
That's okay! We'll share prompts and challenge themes to spark ideas, and you can also join others who've already started their project. To do so, please indicate that you need a team on the registration form.
Vibe coding is a creative approach where you use generative AI to handle much of the coding, allowing you to focus on ideas and problem-solving. Think of it as "coding with the flow" where we want to give you an intuitive, fast, and collaborative environment.
We'll provide access and tutorials to generative AI platforms, and coding environments, and other tools you may need on your journey. You are also welcome to use your own approaches if you deem them beneficial for your project.
Yes, please bring your own laptop and charger. A reliable internet connection will be provided at the location. Additionally, you can bring a tablet, however, we encourage that you work on a laptop for the best experience.
Participation is free, and of course you can win prizes!
Yes, catering will be provided during the event.
